When the Georgia Bankers Association established the Young Bankers Section in 1958, the main focus of the group was to promote the involvement and development of career bankers in Georgia. Now called Leadership GBA, this organization is more committed than ever to developing the future leaders of the banking industry. As the industry continues to change, Leadership GBA focuses on recognizing those changes, understanding their implications and translating the information into useful knowledge. The purpose of the annual Leadership Conference is to speak to the goals of Leadership GBA. These goals are to promote leadership development, encourage public awareness of the banking industry, create networking opportunities, and educate colleagues about the legislative process.
